Ubar Luxury Travel was founded in Oman by Eric and Hannah, a British-Swiss national and his Omani-Scottish wife. Having lived in Oman for years and travelled to far flung corners of the globe, it dawned on the founders that there were fantastic unexplored bits of Oman that were being missed by more standard tourism outfits. Ubar captures these magnificent opportunities in an intelligent, informed and responsible experience, custom made for each visitor.

We do not do package tours. Nor do we cut corners when it comes to safety, environmental protection or the individual needs of our guests. We are a carbon neutral company, and have considered each detail of our actions in order to minimise our impact on the environment and our cost to the planet.

We work with local people and suppliers wherever possible. When camping, our menus are designed locally to incorporate traditional Omani dishes with contemporary tastes. Our guides know the more secluded locations and have a vast local knowledge which you will not find in guide books. Where appropriate, we will organise guest speakers to provide great insights into areas of interest such as birdwatching, marine conservation, the geology of Oman and its culture.

We have included a selection of activities that might interest you. There are no set agendas, itineraries, hotels or locations. That is up to you.
